The trip across the island was fantastic. Carolina was a really nice and friendly guide. She answered all our questions in detail and gave us lots of information about the island. It was great that it was a small group of six people plus the guide, which made it very comfortable in the van. Our personal highlight was the natural pools in Boiscoits. Remember to bring your swimsuits and take a quick dip—it's definitely worth it!

We loved our tour guide Carolina the most. She made the tour so interesting with little anecdotes here and there and we even stopped to watch some local bull-running pre event sport with the bulls, which was very entertaining. The lava chimney of Carvao was spectacular and the Grota da Natal lava flows very interesting. Carolina gave us great insight into how each feature was formed. She was personable and her obvious enthusiasm for her work and her island, was infectious and rubbed off on us. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and will return again. We hope to have Carolina as our guide when we do! our best private tour yet!!! Thnx Carolina

Carolina was amazing! She provided facts & information throughout the tour & we learnt about the various flora in the area as well as geological background. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience & made a friend too! Thank you Carolina - till we meet again…

Fabulous! Carolina was energetic, fun, and knowledgeable! We learned so much about Angra do Heroísmo and actually why people who live in the Azores wouldn't live any other place. There is a lot to love about the culture and history and she shared all of that with us while visiting historic landmarks around the city.
